A reprieve from TRUTH’s customary, floor-dismantling format,”Hold Ya Tongue” leans in to a more mild–but no less textured–type of dubstep. Synths skitter over the bass line with metal whirs that confer a tactile characteristic to the cut; vocal chops, an exoticness. Crawling forth with a languid slink, “Hold Ya Tongue” is appropriate for the after hours, and for all that temporally transpires in between. “Hold Ya Tongue” hails from TRUTH’s forthcoming EP, Druid, due on May 15.
